Waste My Time

I waste my time trying of think of anything on my mind
I try to force enlightenment, but I look too hard and I go blind
I’m losing light, trying to change this water into rhyme
And I’m killing time, trying to extract these words from my spine
I stare at a blank screen
All it does is taunt me
As frustration carves its name into my being
Concentration evaporates before me
Instigating wandering between these fatal distractions
Caught in a loop of endless attraction
Eyes like compasses that point everywhere but north
Mental process crumbling, but still I carry forth
Brain bleeding words, but still they’re missing the page
Herding these thoughts, but still they go astray
I stare at a blank screen
All it does is haunt me
As frustration carves its name into my being
Concentration evaporates before me
Instigating wandering between these fatal distractions
Caught in a loop of endless attraction
I waste my time…

Volk Song (Bugs)
02:26
|

Look at the pest, flying all around
Creeping and crawling, hear their gross sound
Building their nest, queens have been crowned
Insects in my shoes, I stomp them in the ground
Bugs bugs everywhere, I feel them everywhere
Bugs bugs everywhere, I just don’t care
Bugs bugs everywhere, I feel them everywhere
Bugs bugs everywhere, they’re all in my shoes
Little L-4s, burning gasoline
Revving & running, hear the engines scream
Infesting the roads, driving me crazy
Killer queens in my head, I feel the venom’s sting
Bugs bugs everywhere, I think they’re everywhere
Bugs bugs everywhere, I just don’t care
Bugs bugs everywhere, I think they’re everywhere
Bugs bugs everywhere, they’re all in my head
Larvae in lesions, devour my cells
Moving and morphing, empty out my shell
Changing the seasons, metamorphose hell
Butterflies in my sky, only time will tell
Bugs bugs everywhere, I know they’re everywhere
Bugs bugs everywhere, I just don’t care
Bugs bugs everywhere, I know they’re everywhere
Bugs bugs everywhere, they’re all in my sky

I wanna hear what you have to say,
I don't care if it's unoriginal or made of 50,000 cliches,
there's nothing special about the people on stage,
just an instrument in their hand or a microphone in their face,
Arts not only for the talented,
expressions not just for the creative kids,
Arts not only for the talented,
expressions not just for the creative kids,
So pick up your notebook and write a song,
show all your friends so they can sing along,
So pick up your notebook and write a song,
show all your friends so they can sing along,
I've played Bach, Mozart and Shostakovich,
Villa Lobos, and Leo Brower, god you know I love it,
And I love progressive music from 7/8 to 13/16 time,
But honestly I still get a great feeling from,
Slamming 4 chords, and a simple AB AB rhyme,
Arts not only for the talented,
expressions not just for the creative kids,
Arts not only for the talented,
expressions not just for the creative kids,
I don't care if you're talented,
I don't care if you're a creative kid,
I don't care if you're talented,
Who gives a fuck if you're a creative kid,
So pick up your notebook and write a song,
show all your friends so they can sing along,
So pick up your notebook and write a song,
show all your friends so they can sing along,
